Rotary DG Administers Oral Polio Vaccine to Kids

first_imgThe District Governor 9101 (2015-2016)of the Rotary Club International for 10 West African countries, Marie-Irene Richmond Ahoua, on Thursday administered Oral Polio Vaccines (OPV) to several children at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Sinkor.The event was part of her official visit to Liberia to see some of the projects that the Rotary Club of Sinkor (RCS) is undertaking.The D.G., who did not make any comment during the event, was accompanied by RCS president Eva Mappy Morgan and members of the club.Speaking to journalists after the event, DG Ahoua expressed gratitude for the government’s determination to intensify efforts towards eradicating the polio virus in the country.She urged parents to continue to present their children for the routine polio immunization drives in their respective areas.DG Ahoua thanked the RCS family and advised them to continue the hard work to promote development in the country.Rotary Club is an international service organization that aims to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services and encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and advance goodwill and peace around the world.Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)last_img read more
