It is likely to be finalised by 10 January,” he said, requesting anonymity. The event will also witness workshops and panel discussions on topics including “Unleashing entrepreneurship and innovation: What do Indian start-ups need to grow and prosper”, “Celebrating women: Stories of innovative women entrepreneurs”, “How digitisation will change India’s future”, “Making Indian healthcare leapfrog”, “Financial inclusion is within reach” and “Show me the money: How do we capitalize entrepreneurship?””The objective is to reinforce commitment of the government towards creating an ecosystem that is conducive for growth of start-ups,” a DIPP statement said.

Syed Iftekhar Alam SouravFormer state minister for home affairs Sohel Taj has called for the safe return of his nephew, Syed Iftekhar Alam Sourav, who was allegedly picked up on 9 June by plainclothes men over his relationship with a woman. He made the call at a press conference in the capital’s Dhaka Reporters’ Unity on Monday.Sohel Taj, son of Bangladesh’s first prime minister Tajuddin Ahmed, said that abduction is not expected in a country which was liberated for establishing democracy and justice.”Family background is not a big matter. The state will run as per rule of law and it will, hopefully, be applied equally for all. I want my nephew Sourav to come back alive and unharmed soon. That’s what I expect from the state and law enforcement,” he said to the press conference.Sourav went missing on 9 June on his way to Chattogram city’s Mimi Super Market. His mother, Syeda Yasmin Arjuman, in her written statement said, “Members of Rapid Action Battalion contacted my son in the afternoon and told him to go to the shopping centre at 7:00pm. Sourav did not come back from there. Since then, his phone has been found switched off.”When contacted, officials of RAB’s media branchs asked to send them the general diary filed for Sourav’s disappearance.Asked about Sourav’s connection with RAB, Syeda Yasmin Arjuman said that her son was in a relationship with a woman, Sauda, in 2017.”Her father forcefully married her off in 2018 but the marriage did not last long. Sauda’s father blamed Sourav for the break up and threatened my son,” she said. “On 7 February 2019 when Sourav was staying in Banani, was called to Uttara RAB office and asked to cut ties with Sauda. Banani police station officer-in-charge also threatened him with life on the same grounds on 12 February,” she added.

Kolkata: Coming down heavily on the BJP in connection to the Alwar lynching incident in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that steps should be taken to put an end to Talibani Hinduism. While leaving Nabanna on Monday evening, Banerjee said that instead of merely condemning the incident they (BJP) must rein in their leaders to check such incidents.”I heard Rajnathji had condemned it on the floor of Parliament during the no-confidence motion. But why they are only condemning it and not controlling their leaders at all levels. Such incidents are taking place just because of their hate campaign, and it is resulting in the loss of many lives. They must also control their MPs and MLAs in this connection,” Banerjee said. She further said: “Such incidents are taking place in the name of Hindu Taliban. Hate campaign by extremist religious groups should be stopped, and they are also taking the law into their own hands.”The Chief Minister reiterated that strict steps would be taken if anything similar happened in Bengal. “We don’t support such acts. Police have to take strong action when such violence occurs,” Banerjee said adding that measures should be taken as rumour mongers use social networking sites to spread fake news.Recalling incidents where people from Bengal were killed in other states when they went there for work, Banerjee maintained: “Our religion teaches tolerance and not to use the sword. They are defaming religion.”Stating that she respects all religions, the Chief Minister raised several questions that “If we can respect everyone why they (BJP) cannot? Why they are dividing (the country)?””We respect the cow. But we cannot condone violence over the issue,” she said after taking a dig at the BJP over the pandal collapse incident during the Prime Minister’s rally in West Midnapore. She said: “If they cannot build a pandal properly then how can they build a country?”
